On the late afternoon of May 20,2008, the
East Fishkill Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Mobile Life
Paramedics, and the East Fishkill Police were dispatched for a
reported auto accident with a car into the building at the
intersection of Route 82 and Clove Branch Road. Arriving units
found a two-vehicle collision with one of the vehicles
completely embedded inside the nearby Country Charm Realty
Office. The occupants of the "embedded vehicle," the female
driver and her daughter, had self extricated, and the occupants
of the realty office were visibly shaken but uninjured. E.F.F.D
members did a standing take-down on the driver and transported
her to St. Francis Hospital. The car was removed from the
building without incident, and the scene was turned over to the
E.F.P.D. and the Town of East Fishkill Building Department.

rollover accident
The Hillburn Fire Department responded to
this single car rollover accident with entrapment on the New
York State Thruway southbound, just south of Exit 14B on April
15, 2008, in Tallman. The driver of the vehicle, who apparently
suffered a fatal heart attack, was pronounced dead at the
hospital. A passenger had minor injuries. The Hillburn Fire
Department responded for the Tallman Fire Department as Tallman
was assisting Hillcrest battle a working house fire at 12 Doe
Drive.
