Crane Collapse
in Wyckoff

 

On November 25, 2011, the Wyckoff Fire Department responded to a crane collapse. Wyckoff Fire Chief Mike Rose arrived to find a tandem axle crane uprighted with the boom of the crane resting in the pool of the rear yard. Wyckoff utilized their tower ladder to secure heavy duty wrecker cables to the front axle stabilizing each side. Crews remained on scene for seven hours utilizing a civilian crane to return the collapsed crane to the ground.

Ocean City, Atlanticare Handle Medevac

 

The Ocean City Fire Department responded on November 1, 2011 for a male fall victim. EMTs and Atlanticare Paramedics requested the victim be flown to a trauma center. Engine 3 set up a LZ at the Ocean City airport where the Medevac landed and the patient was loaded for the flight.
